Trach Mist / Large Volume Nebulization

Trach mist, also known as a tracheostomy collar, mist collar, or large-volume nebulizer, provides humidified air to patients with a tracheostomy. This device helps keep the airway moist, which improves breathing and prevents complications like thick secretions, vocal cord irritation, and infections.

It is often used during in-line aerosol therapy, where moisture can accumulate, and when a patient is receiving oxygen therapy, which can dry out the airway.
